International Quality recognition at Japan for Reliance Mutual Fund and Reliance Life Insurance
In what is a major international recognition for the Quality initiatives at Reliance Mutual Fund (RMF) & Reliance Life Insurance Comapany (RLIC) - Lean Six Sigma (LSS) project representatives from RMF and RLIC were at Japan from Sep 15-18 at the invitation of the Asian Network for Quality to present their successful LSS projects at the ANQ Congress, Tokyo. They were invited based on the business results from their LSS projects.
Over 150 organizations from across the world presented their Quality initiatives at this event. The Reliance Capital businesses were the only companies from Banking or Financial Services industry across the world invited to present at the event.
Reliance General Insurance wins SCMHRD LSS recognition.
Reliance General Insurance has won the Certificate of Excellence at the Symbiosis Center for Management & HRD (SCMHRD) Lean & Six Sigma Excellence Awards 2009 for their Lean Six Sigma (LSS) project on "Improving Fraud Identification in Health Claims". This Award is one of India's most prestigeous recognitions in Quality.

Reliance Infrastructure Fund gets outstanding retail response, collects Rs 2,350 crore
Reliance Mutual Fund has announced that the company has collected about a whopping Rs. 2,350 crore in the recently-concluded new fund option (NFO) -- Reliance Infrastructure Fund – on the back of over 4.36 lakh applications in 434 centres across the country. The applications are expected to have come from over 1,000 cities/ towns.

KV Srinivasan elevated as the CEO of Reliance Consumer Finance. KV has been leading the Consumer Finance business since Dec 07 and has been instrumental in building a strong team that has been able to accelerate growth, responsibly. As the CEO, he will oversee both the companies that are into Consumer Finance - the Housing finance company that we have set up, Reliance Homes Finance Ltd and the Lending business, Reliance Consumer Finance Ltd. KV's key focus areas will be to continue building quality portfolio assets, reduce non- performing assets, costs and delivering significant return on investments.

In May 2009, Reliance Mutual Fund and Reliance Life Insurance Company have won the Quality Council of India (Govt. of India) commendation award for "Economics of Quality" for the financial results from their Quality initiatives. Also, some of the LSS projects at RCAP businesses have been invited to the Asian National Quality Congress at Japan.
