Ram Shah, 29, is the territory manager for the Guwahati Branch of Reliance Life Insurance. In the last financial year, his branch did business of more than Rs. 1 core.

Ram joined the company in January 2006 as a sales manager. In the last three years, he has been promoted thrice to his current designation.

Ram remembers that when he joined, the entire North-East was being served from a small place of less than 100 square feet. The only thing that he had his enthusiastic team had were the Reliance Brand and its DNA. This was supported by the hard work of the people—many late nights, especially at the year-end!

Rams says, “This is one company, where performance gets due respect. I was among the first 32 Sales Managers in India, who qualified to become Senior Sales Manger. It was one of the most memorable moments of my life.” Ram adds, “I attribute my success as a Sales Manager, to the advisors, support from seniors and the operation staff. I had to lead a team of more than eighty advisors. During the initial days, I worked really hard, recruiting advisors, giving them training, going in calls, providing support, etc. “

Ram, adds: “The speed with which we work is incomparable. It is truly said At Reliance, Growth has no limit.” That gives him little time for his hobbies of traveling, reading, music, and sports.
