Manoj Suvarna is a Senior Manager with Reliance Commodities. Manoj says “The financial market always looked very exciting to me. Market fluctuations and trading was something I always fancied right from my college days. As soon as I completed my graduation I joined Refco India (now MF GLobal), one of the pioneers of commodity trading in India. As a dealer I traded various financial products in the international exchanges such as commodity derivatives, currency derivatives and indices. My 4 year stint at MF Global taught me all the nuances of a broking house as well as the commodity and currency markets in the meanwhile I completed my MBA, which was very helpful in carrying out day to day activities. Placing orders through a dealer in the ring was ever so challenging but then I shifted focus to the Indian commodity markets as the potential here was immense and experienced personals very scarce.
