Ashutosh A. Kumar, 35, is Assistant Vice President, Sales and Distribution at Reliance Money, a subsidiary of Reliance Capital. He heads Reliance Money’s Eastern Zone and Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarhoperations out of Kolkata. He looks after all the capital markets, direct, and household sales teams across these areas.

Ashutosh says of his current responsibility: “I’m proud to have built one of the strongest teams of Reliance Money. This team has bought the East Zone to the national map in terms of performance. The percentage share of the East in the total business doubled from 9 % to 18 % in the last year.”

Ashutosh was earlier the Eastern Regional sales head for ICICI Bank. He has an MBA in Finance from the Indian Institute of Finance. He joined Reliance Money in May 2008.

While the dynamism of the organization and the challenge of becoming the largest broking and distribution company excites Ashutosh, he credits his success to his enthusiasm for sports. “I am a sports freak and have played at the University and at District levels. Sports has helped me look at life differently and through it I learnt the importance of team building and the passion-to-win spirit.”
