Amit Kumar Roy is the Zonal Business Head for the West Zone which comprises of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa.

Amit is a Graduate in Physics. He is a wonderful professional, very focused and balanced, manages pressure and ambiguity with ease, excellent with people, and effective at delivering multiple objectives simultaneously. He has an infectious 'can do' attitude with a palpable ability to see things from the perspective of possibility. This, together with the depth of experience he has gained in his business career creates a powerful leadership competence that is enhanced by his great interpersonal skills.

Amit’s career started in 1991 when he joined the Customs & Excise Department and served there for 2 years post which he joined the Insurance Giant - LIC and worked there for 7 years. He switched to Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company and worked there for another 7 years. He joined RLIC in April 2008. Over the last 2 years, he has led the West Zone to many Achievements & Success. As a key member of the organization’s leadership team, he is known for his brilliant ideas and business forecasts to maintain edge over competition.

An ardent reader, he has a private library and enjoys silent moments there. Even after years of marriage, he still describes himself and his wife as a newly married couple. He says - “She understands my work requirements and completes me where I lack; I couldn’t have been what I am today without Aditi.” He enjoys re-discovering his childhood with his 12 years son Anurag.
